I was rejected.

Yesterday I sat in on Federal jury pool in Ocala. Out of 32 people I was one of the 24 who were sent home to return no more. The case involved a purchasing agent for the city of Ocala who was suing over his promotion being given to a minority instead. I was happy not to have been on the jury. It was to be 2-3 day trial.

The courtroom was freezing. The Feds must have an unlimited cooling budget. Overall it was a very interesting experience. However, rejection can sometimes be a good thing.
