Plant Daddy Coming Attractions

Maybe after I retire next summer I will post more.

On Leave for a few months.....

Plantdaddy is moving on to other interests at this time....I may get bact to posting at a future date....Currently having too much fun pollinating and making more babies....

THESIS TIME OVER.......

My student's MS thesis was sent to the review committee today... What a month or rush, rush, read, write, rewrite and read again all blended in with sleepless nights and panic attacks....What is the conclusion of this.....???? I HATE statistics especially those associated with the famous 'factorial experimental design'. Now we wait for the final exam in a couple of weeks...what fun... The thesis will be the first work that studied growth, flowering and propagation of Adenium (sort of my favorite plant)....lots of data....nice conclusions...a ton of research to be done in the future... Adenium is an amazing genus of plants....one that gives great joy, shows great beauty plus opportunities to learn more about statistics, the effects of sleepless nights and the joy of finishing...ahhhhhhhh.....

2012 MREC Field Day

It was a hot but nice day this past Wednesday...

There were vendors, lots of speakers and even some nice plants to look over.

Food was excellent also....

All and all I gues it was a success.....At least I learned a lot.

Field Day 2012

We had a field day yesterday May 23, 2012....It went very well with about 250 people in the audience.... I would show photos but left camera at home today....will put some up soon.... It was a good day overall..... Now back to the thesis.......grrrrrrrrrr.....

Thesis.....

I am in the middle of thesis writing assistance...that is what.....of course there is a deadline.....no time to write for fun.... Otherwise plants are growing fine, no problems.... Lots of blackberries and strawberries in garden.... Back to work....c ya...

Indoor Adenium

Here is a photo of an Adenium that we placed in an interior room for testing.....the results???? Let us just say that these plants need LOTS of light to continue flowering..

After 1 week the plants are not happy and stop making new flower buds and even may begin to shed leaves....keep your plants were they get at least 6 hours of bright sunlight so they will continue to flower all summer....
