Tropical Storm FAY Totals - 8-19 to 8-22....

Fay bugged us from Monday 8-19 thru Friday 8-22-08.
Thursday was the wrost = at least 50 mph gusts of wind = another missing roof off the Z-shop.
Now there is one roof (of 3) remaining - the other was lost in June.
We have a repair team on tap for October = after hurricane season.
It will be great to one day have the Z-shop back, since it is soon to be sculpture season and I am getting excited about some projects.
Totals = we got at least 10.5 inches of rain (4.75 Thursday and 3.75 Thursday night). Plus 2 inches from Tuesday and Wed.
So the trees are happy - at least those with leaves left.
Actually no problems other than the Z-shop and the mosaic studio that has a few presistent small roof leaks. But never fear as I have a plan to fix them.

This was like Oregon in the winter when I was a kid. Have not seen the sun in 5 days. The wind howls and the rain pellets tap on the house root and walls. At least here it is warmer but being damp all day is the pits.

I will be glad when the sun appears and we can curse the sun and its heat. Actually it will be great.

The blackberries are looking great and we are hopeful of a big crop next spring - ahhh spring with the dry air and warm sun. Only a memory now.
