I really like that pothos. Is it likely to wind up in stores anytime soon?

Love your blog and your plants.

I'm dying to know about the pothos, too. It's a beauty. I'll fight Mr. Subjunctive for it if it hits the market.

The variegated ficus in the penultimate photo... I have the same one, I think, except mine is covered in crispy brown blotches -- arrived with a few and has continued sprouting them -- and nothing I do seems to make a difference. Too little sun? Too much? Too little humidity? Too much? Too little watering? Too much? Soil too acidic? Soil too alkaline? Soil too fast-draining? Soil too heavy? Bugs? Fungus? Fluoride? NPK ratio? Micronutrients? Ennui? Spite? I've investigated 'em all, but the brown crispiness continues. Plant seems otherwise healthy, though. Grows like a weed. Odd. I wonder if I could fit a greenhouse in my studio apartment.

The pothos is a hybrid being grown on for breeding....unfortunately it is slow growing and may not make it commercially because of that...

It is impossible to diagnose the ficus problem from afar...check the roots first as that is key...keep leaves dry to stop any disease....put in one spot and watch new leaves over several months...hold off on fertilizer for 2-3 months...
