Bye bye oleander....................

The oleander catepillars are destroying the huge oleander bush outside my office window. In another day there will be no leaves left. There must be at least 500 munchers doing their eating thing.

It's back --- for awhile anyway...........

The large oleander plant outside my office window was pruned to near zero a few months ago. It has come back and filled in really nicely. Of course now the oleander catepillars are stripping it away to a soon to be winter scene. Then there is the ever present lizard, near the center of the photo, who cannot decide whether to eat the stinging 'pillars or not. Life is one tough decision after another.

Aglaonema 'Moonlight Bay'

I am working on a story about this plant today. It was not one of my favorites at first but has become so since it is very tough and grows well under varying conditions.

Back to the photos..............

Writing is too much work so I am going back to plant photos. The Texas sage at work is in bloom today and seems to be enjoying the miserable heat. Someone or something has too I guess.

Friday.............ahhhhhhhhhhh.............

Pretty good week.......

Pretty much organized the tissue culture class for September.
Several contributors are on board.
Everyone was cooperative - that was really nice.

Now it is back to other busines for a few weeks.
Pollinations, propagation and writing.

Rain is over - we had a wonderful 3.8 inches at our home in two days.
Trees and shrubs are really happy.
Of course now the grass is rampant --- grrr........

Life is great ---- there is always something to grr about.........
Oh well, at least it is Friday
Grrrrr...........NOT............

Weird Wednesday................

A good weird I guess............maybe...

Stopped by a nursery on a whim to see how an old associated was doing.
He was doing pretty good and it was nice to see him. In fact, he was doing good enough to donate 2 trays of plants for an irradiation experiment.

At work I organized all new experiments into folders and took photos of each.
Now everthing (writeups and photos) are in one place and easy to check.
Only took 31 years to figure this out.

Motor shop called and they are progressing.
Actually cheaper than I thought - but they wanted a downpayment.
Maybe next week it will be ready to assemble.
All I know is that there is a lot of boring going on in that block.
Me = scared...

Gee now I can start to think about this course we are supposed to teach.
Somehow it is up to me to head it.
There must be a hidden note on my forehead that says "I want to be the leader of the class".

Anyway my body feels pretty good today so forget the rest.
