Surf Fishing with Sand Fleas = Good.......

Finally made it surf fishing for the 2nd time this year. As usual found sand fleas near high tide.
This time we had to use the "deep digger" sand flea rake since the fleas were deeper due to cool weather. We had a great day and even caught plenty of fish to eat. Another good trip. Sure beats freezing in Oregon for sure. Mosaic Mom just loves those pompano. Me too.... I took a friend along who had never caught fish in the surf before. He is out shopping today for equipment. His next fish will cost a lot more per pound than these.

It is warm again..........finally........

Went to Oregon last week...........cold and damp and dark...........not good........

Back home now it is warm finally..........the garden is growing again and but the grass is not..........and that is perfect........

Work is quiet as the year end nears..........also nearing may be a surf fishing trip later in the week.....I may update about that and may not............i.e. no fishes = no update.......

Baked some coconut cookies that turned out pretty yummy..........they would go well with some fresh Whiting fishes........time will tell..................but all is well.............

Florida Fall Color

Yes we have fall color here too............just a little later than other places.........
Below is a dogwood (cultivar Mr. Rick Tichy) that does well in central Florida. A good bloomer and good fall color (photo taken today 12-1-08).

Below is a colored up Sweetgum photographed 12-1-08. Several days in the 40's plus a light frost last week did the trick. Focus is not good but camera batteries died before second photo.
