No More Photos..........

My faithful digital camera has died...............so I am alone at sea with no photocapability.........

Actually I will have to bring in my little backup and get it set up on my computer then it will be back to business.....

My new plant passed thru the Cultivar Release Committee so it is on its way to the real world.....sorry no photos.........Now it is on to the next one.....no photos there either......

Other than that it is hot and windy and dry...........also know as late April..........

The Blackberries are big and fat and turning BLACK.....thanks to daily drip irrigation.....sorry no photos as they get eaten too fast......

I am going pants shopping this week...........Oh God.....the sweet corn isn't even ready yet..............I'm dead.........pity the pallbearers...........

Oh God its Friday Again............

This has been quite a week..............a fast one anyway.
Finally got everything together for the cutlivar release committed in G-ville for Monday.
I have a new aglaonema hybrid to present.
This will be my first working encounter with the new Dean for Research.
Get to ride to G-ville in a new hybrid car - my first experience there.
My boss is driving therefore I promise to be good.
All the plants are growing well and the weather is finally stable - dry, breezy and warm/hot.
The blackberries are looking quite nice as long as they get water.
Got a large rainbird sprinkler for the lawn. It covers a 150 ft circle so I do not have to move it.
Gee - always wanted one of those. The "chick, chick, chick" sound is great and reminds me of Oregon in the summer.
The weather in Oregon has been terribly cold and windy - almost unbelieveable.
The foliage industry in Florida is really suffering from the current "depression".
I know the GBush only calls it a "slowdown" but he is in the OIL busines so he and his friends are doing well.
Just think that if HILLARY wins it could be a total of 28 years of BUSH/CLINTON/BUSH/CLINTON - could be more damaging than terrorists attacks.
I think I had better stop now.

Looks like Spring......Finally..........

The cold has finally left and it was almost pleasant to be outside last night........Today should be even better........The weather looks good for the garden and rest of my babies......they should really start growing soon.......looks like pruning in the near future.........

Cold Today -- Windy and 43 Degrees

Three days ago it was 88 degrees.........we had to water the garden three times to keep things from wilting....Now the wind and cold has wilted me........tonight may be colder but the wind will slow down....my old boss at work was right - you never take the plastic off of coldframes until after April 15.....so it looks like some things in life remain the same......

A Field at Work...........

Nothing is a good as springtime and being a field planted full of potential food. This is one of the fields at work a couple of years ago. I loved to ride out there and just look at them. Must be my " farming gene" going at full tilt. Can't wait to go home and check Mosaicmom's gardern.

Big Loquat Crop = Smaller 'quats.....

There is a bumper loquat crop this year......so many that the fruit size is reduced....may have to try using some sort of fruit thinner next year if this keeps up.......no reduction in flavor or fun of eating them though....love those loquats..
