My Megaskepasma erythrochlamys is doing well. I will show a photo later in the summer to demonstrate its growth rate. The hot weather seems to make this plant happy - as long as I water it everyday. I just pinched the flowers off to stimulate more branching and a bigger flower show later. Some of the shoots that wre pinched earlier are producing 4 breaks which equals 4 potential flower spikes for later. This little project is getting exciting.
Yes.........fans...........this is Aglaonema 'Stripes' from the movie "The Professional"............I am 99% sure that is the plant.............

Aglaonema 'Golden Bay' (below) makes a good parent.
I am not using it though as there are better parents to pollinate. Ths should be a really good crop of hybrids - if I get any seed set. Not that the foliage plant world world needs another new Aglaonema cultivar. Oh hell yes they do................
Back to pollinating aglaonema for the first time in over a year. It is nice now that all the plants are near the cooling pad in the greenhouse. In fact below is one of the parents I am using as a parent.
Mosaic mom showed me how to make a roux recently...........so now I use it so tie my potato recipes together...........the most recent being last night..............so today for lunch I ate the last of my potato, sausage, 2 kinds of peppers, onion and "red eye sausage" roux blend......damn that was good.........I must run now to get a coke or I will sleep well past quitting time........ eating is a good thing...........
The patent for this one has been submitted and is nearing completion.
Finally settling my --- down and trying to write. It is much easier with 90/90 degrees/humidity outside. Anyway, the first project is to work up a patent for the baby aglaonema below. I guess it can be done -- before the summer ends I think, maybe....
The last 2 weeks were chaotic with sick kid, sick well, sick car and sick plants. But all is fixed for the moment and we can move on. It even rained Friday/Saturday. The winds have died down and now we can just be hot and humid.
