A Stunning Tour Today............

We had an open house/field day at work this morning.....Not a lot of visitors but got some good responses (i.e. pants wetting) from some of the visitors who saw our new plants....

So for me it was a very good day........NOT such a good day for mosaic mom since I had lots of Bar-B-Q beans for lunch....

Things are looking good for the future.....I do not say that very often.....another STUNNER for the day........

YEAH future............

DAMN it is COLD..........

In the low 50's this morning and going into the low 40's tonight................grrrrr........

Windy, sunny and cold all day.................brrrrrrrrrrrr.....

This may not be such a good winter afterall............................................

Ramblings.............

Going for the gold --- plan on having 5 new foliage cultivars approved for release on 10-12-08. That is a record for sure and will make 6 cultivars for the year...another record.

I just pray that nothing goes wrong between now and then and that the Dean is in a good mood that day......probably not though with the current budget situation.

Sentra remake: thanks to Mosaic Mom finding a local upholstery business we are getting the inner roof of the sentra redone today. The back of the rood upholstery hanging down did make a fair sun blocker though. My previous feeble attempts at fixing it seem to have failed.

East winds on the coast have killed any plans for fishing trips. I could go and get a load of seaweed to mulch the garden quite easily...grrr..... Maybe next week.

Everything else is pretty good today...........no use going on about politics..........

Fishing 10-1-08.........

Bad Water = chocolate brown............ = yuck.........

Catch = 10 whiting, 12 catfish, 3 little sharks, 3 spot and 1 sting ray......
Lots of sand fleas present but water too dirty for them to do much good.....

Fresh dead shrimp was best.......

Tough fishing but still got enough whiting for 2 great meals (1 already down the hatch).....

It should be good fishing if the water clears during the next 2 weeks........

Not a bad day in spite of the lousy water color..............
