Old time Peperomia anyone........

Came across this old Peperomia photo today..........they are old time plants..........easy to deal with and fun to have........

I Know how you Feel.........

My poor old tractor had a flat tire recently............I feel the same way with one broken down leg and the other not far behind.......sure wish I could get new spares as easy as our loyal old tractor did......maybe I am exaggerating a little on the health issue there.....

It is a good week so far at work with big momentum building........some good things are happening and making the rest of the jobs easier......only hope that it continues.....

Here is Something Really Different....Jatropha curcas...

Went to a Jatropha curcas biofuel meeting in South Florida yesterday. Got to hear a seminar by a Jatropha researcher from India and some local investors. Then we went to the see a 40 acre planting. The plants looked really good and are quite attractive.

We might be doing research with Jatropha in the future if the Department of Energy Grant comes through. We can do the work no problem. Hell, we can do anything if the $$$ is there. Besides Jatropha curcas does have some desireable ornamental characteristics.

Lotto Weeds.........No Fish..........Great Day Though.....

Tried surf fishing yesterday.......the fish were there but too many weeds to actually fish.....the weather was perfect, hardly anyone on the beach, and I had a great time netting mullet and playing in the surf....
Hate to admit it but there IS more to surf fishing the catching fish....that is a good thing....
How can I not catch anything and still have a great day.......maybe I am getting smarter in my old age.........or maybe I have nothing to prove here...

My old age paid off as I got a $10 lifetime pass to the national park.....I used to pay $35 a year to get an annual pass.....so see it was a great day......

It is almost Time.........for FISHING.....

Its Almost Barleria Time

Dreaming of the cooler fall temperatures makes me think of Barleria which should start to flower shortly as the days get shorter.....
Better to think of that than the fall Mullet Run that should be starting also....Oh crap it's time to think FISHING....to hell with the plants......
No more working everyday and weekends................need to take off and go to the beach where I just kill my self casting.....and digging sand fleas......

There really is no hope in my life's department.....ahhh but maybe some fishes in my freezer.....

Plant Tours and Testing.....

Here are a couple of photos: the upper was of some Aglaonema hybrids set out for a tour and the lower photo is of a Dieffenbachia hybrid in a fertilizer/growth test.
Other than that it is pretty slow around here these days.....must be the heat....
