Yellow Amaryllis............
Pictured is a yellowis amaryllis from the landscape at work........The flowers are smaller than the normal types and they appear a few weeks later..........I like yellow flowers and this could be an interesting plant for breeding.......Too bad that I have enough projects going at this time.....but it could be something for the future...........

Our Loquats came and will come again............
We had a nice crop of loquats this year in spite of some fruit damage due to freezes.....
They are really good.....
Funny thing is that we will get a second harvest in a few weeks......this has never happened before and we are not sure why.....maybe some latent effect from all the cold.....
Anyway we are happy about this suprise.
Our selected variety (photo below) has many fruit up to 2 inches in diameter......and they taste great.....

Blueberries and Bees
In my first attempt to grow blueberries, I was unhappy with the fruit set. This year the number of bees visiting the blueberries was also low due to poor weather.
In desperation, I stole a blooming broccoli from Mosaicmom’s garden and used it as an attractant for the little buzzers! It worked. They came for the broccoli and found the luscious blueberry flowers and now I am scanning the internet for blueberry recipes.
So in a couple of weeks, we will have fresh blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and loquats simultaneously. Our fruit life is good.
