Busy day in the Z shop today. Must be spring fever. 

Yep, real busy. 

Ahhhh. After a week running around it was sure nice to spend an afternoon in the research house. It makes everything better.  

I Have Been Lucky...

Feel like I have been lucky today. Why?????????

1. Mosaic mom is being funny and creative and sharing her talents with others.
2. Mindescape is happy, funny and responsible.
3. Things at work are fine and peaceful and my crew seems content.
4. My family is in good health - that is a real blessing.
5. Plenty of fish are biting in the surf.
6. I get to drive a new truck at work tomorrow.
7. The Magic are on a clear channel tonight.
8. Warmer temps mean sand fleas will soon be filling my sand flea rake.
9. I think my sick buddy at work is getting better.
10. Our little garden is almost too productive.
11. The fox squirrels are very entertaining.
12. The Z crew is coming Saturday to fix the hiccup in the Greenbean.
13. Going home is always a good thing.

Gee --- that is pretty good stuff................I am lucky...really lucky...

First the doctors then the cure.

It took one day of surf fishing to cancel visits to the doctors. Caught 41 and brought home enough fillets for three meals. The last five trips have averaged 40 fish each. Used to be 10 fish was good and 20 was a great day. Not sure what has changed but I sure like it.

Since it was 80 degrees today I tossed all the frozen stuff from the garden since new babies are in the greenhouse. Spring is tomorrow here and then summer after that, then winter comes again. Got to love it. Hope the cauliflower keeps coming. Corn next.

Love watching the buzzards come in on the fish remains. No part of any fish I bring home goes to waste.

Went to the Doctor Yesterday Too...

Not a good trend going here. Ended up taking a friend from work to the hospital yesterday. He needed a MRI and CT scan to try and determine why he can't pee. Not fun. We await the results.

My trip was less scary. Just want to check prostate and get some blood work done. Of course it took 2.5 hours for a 10 minute visit. Grrr....... Picked up two nice pens though for my trouble. Give blood next Friday as that is the only day they do it. Then back in 3 weeks for another 2:00 pm appointment that will actually take place at 4:00. Oh well, guess I will add to my pen collection.

May go surf fishing this Friday as the weather looks pretty good. Hope the fishing remains the same. Those whiting are pretty tasty. Now I have some friends at work to help eat them. May just have to make more trips to feed them all. Gee, now that is a tough job. May also have to upgrade the equipment since so much is riding on my success.

Bottom line: Being able to pee and poop is really a very good thing. Go fishing while you can. They do not bite in the doctor's office.

Spring in Florida is tomorrow and Friday. Don't miss it. I warned you.

BTW: Mosaic Mom is really cool.

Going to the Doctor Today.

I feel great but have an appointment with an MD this afternoon for the first time in several years. Thought it might be a good idea to do some bloodwork and general checkover. We probably won't do anything since I have eaten this morning but I want to meet this guy first.

So I said goodbye to my loyal crew at work and am getting ready to head out, while the following thought rings in my head - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Told them I would call from the hospital once I got a room. For some reason they think I am paranoid - go figure.

It is cold and breezy today which is not my favorite for sure. However, temps in the upper 70's by Friday. I am sure the Doc will encourge me to eat more fish. 'nuff said - I see more sunrise photos in my future blogs. Little surf critters beware.....

47/11. Went surt fishing today, caught 47, brought home 11 for dinner. I love fishing and I love the sunrise. Beautiful day. 

Left/Right

The battle in my brain.
Left brain vs. right brain.
Art versus science.
The battle is that I like them both.

One is dull and controlled and plodding.
Occupied my mind for 50 years.
The other is bizarre and free and moves unencumbered.
It is beginning to emerge as a force of its own.
The switch keeps flipping.

True joy is when they blend.
The knowledge from science put to use in creating something new.
Especially if it involves fishing rigs.

I think it is time to Left Right up the beach and find some pompano.
Next week for sure.

Oh brother the battle goes on.
I guess it is a WIN WIN…hooray…….

Three cheers for three inches of rain today. That will save me 3 hours of watering the new trees. 

Found a nice pothos flower in the research house today. 

Wish I was 31 again.

Why? That way I could say I caught my age again surf fishing. It was a nice day yesterday at the beach although fishing was a little slow. Soon to get better though. Gee, used to be that 20 fish a day was considered great. Now 30 fish seems a little slow. Guess the techniques have improved a little. Of course next time I my wish I was zero -- but that is fishing -- you just never know. But it is nice to chew on the good days. Saw 1 pompano caught so they will soon be more prevalent. Just need some nice 80 degree days.

Greenbean needs a new starter. That should make for a nice weekend project. Grrrr....
